This week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown featured the last set of matches to determine the final contenders for the Men’s elimination Chamber match. In a classic one-on-one battle, Kevin Owens defeated Dominik Mysterio to qualify as the 5th participant of the much-awaited match.

Later during the show, Logan Paul faced The Miz for the first time in two years to determine the final participant of the Elimination Chamber match. While the A-lister had a great showing, a brass knuckle distracted him before Paul knocked out the former WWE Champion to head on to Australia.

With the stage set, Logan Paul is now set to face Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, LA Knight, Kevin Owens, and Drew McIntyre inside the destructive Elimination Chamber to determine Seth Rollins’ challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL.

While a massive match is set for WWE’s return to Australia, The Miz has his WrestleMania dream shattered after losing his match against Logan Paul this week. In a backstage WWE digital exclusive interview after his heartbreaking loss, the A-lister commented on his tough loss, showing confidence at regaining his momentum and earning a spot in the main event scene back.

“You wanna go to the chamber because you want a chance, an opportunity at Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship and that’s exactly what I wanted to do, I came up short. Logan showed me things that I didn’t realize he had, and did anything he could possibly do to defeat me. He did everything, going behind the ref’s back, trying to get foreign objects in there, everything. I gotta go back and relook everything and figure out what I need to do to get back into the picture that I feel like I belong in. And that is the main event. That is top guy at WrestleMania. So we’ll figure it out. Time will tell. Don’t lose the confidence. I am always awesome.”

Apart from his heartbreaking loss on Smackdown, The Miz is also dealing with his wife, Maryse’s health issues which she revealed in a post on Instagram a few days ago. With a lot going on during one of the busiest times of the year, the A-lister has a lot to do if he wants to regain his momentum by WrestleMania XL.
