Mysterious Mask Appears on 2/6 Edition of WWE NXT

The landscape of WWE’s developmental territory, NXT has had an influx of mysteries and cryptic messages lately. This week was no different as a very evident and mysterious element was noticed from the 2/6 taping of WWE NXT.

WWE NXT champion Ilja Dragunov came out to call out Carmelo Hayes after his actions on NXT Vengeance Day. Hayes turned on his former ally, Trick Williams who battled Dragunov at the end of the show.

While the top champion of the Black and Gold brand came looking for Carmelo Hayes, he found himself standing across the ring with his old rival, Dijak.

However, it was worth noting that a mysterious mask appeared on the NXT Titantron above the fans as both men came to blows during the face-off. It drew many similarities to what the members of The Schism faction and NXT star Joe Gacy used to wear.

With mysteries continuing to invade WWE NXT week after week, it would be interesting to see what this could mean on the road to WWE’s biggest show, WrestleMania 40.
