Vince Russo Calls The Rock’s Return A Diversion On The Road To WrestleMania 40

The Rock has returned to possibly embark on the road to WrestleMania 40, but it is for the first time that the fans are not happy about it. Nonetheless, wrestling veteran Vince Russo had his own theory behind The Great One’s monumental return.

Vince Russo took to his X to give his take on The Rock being inserted into the WrestleMania plans. He stated that it was nothing but a diversion from the original and evidently, the people’s choice, possibly indicating Cody Rhodes.

The American Nightmare had been the hot favorite for an entire year to finish his story against the Undisputed WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns. Moreover, that belief became more strong after Cody Rhodes won the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match and pointed right toward Reigns after his victory.

However, this week on SmackDown, Cody shockingly announced his decision to not pick The Head of the Table as his WrestleMania 40 opponent. Right after the announcement, The Rock made his way to the ring and had an intense staredown with Roman Reigns, hinting that the blockbuster match will indeed happen at the Showcase of the Immortals this year.
