Professional wrestling is filled with stories, and not all of them portray those involved in the best light. Legends like Shawn Michaels haven’t always made the best decisions throughout their careers. Michaels was accused of some serious allegations in the past and now he finally addressed them.

Halcion is a drug that pro wrestlers used to have around, but they were not taken for a purpose that really holds the test of time. The drug is a sedative, and some used it to have their way with women.

An older shoot interview with Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake previously revealed his discussion about Halcion and how The Rockers, particularly Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty, were fond of using it. While Michaels and Jannetty were known for their partying antics in the past, this claim is now viewed as outright criminal. With a better understanding of Halcion’s effects, the story Beefcake shared was even more concerning.

“Listen, the Rockers loved those halcions, man. They freakin — boom — they’d drop them on all the broads, and then they’d get them back to their room, and they’d pass out and then they would take the laundry off, and they’d have a good time with them; and then throw them out in the hallway and sh*t naked. Yeah, so needless to say, they got in trouble in a few hotels.”

While speaking during the NXT Vengeance Day media call, Shawn Michaels was questioned about the allegations raised by Brutus Beefcake and issues discussed on Dark Side of the Ring.

Shawn Michaels stated that he doesn’t shy away from his past. He denied any accusations of non-consensual situations with women, clarifying that such claims were not indicative of his personal struggles.

Michaels stressed that such accusations regarding non-consensual encounters are false and highlighted his commitment to counseling. He emphasized the significance of distinguishing fact from fiction in certain stories circulating within the wrestling industry. Regardless, Michaels made it clear he never did such a thing and that’s what fans have accepted now.
