TNA Wrestling has been the home to some of the best in-ring talents in the world, with one of their former Heavyweight champions, Moose being at the top of the conversation. But despite his top-tier status, he was accused of ripping off Bobby Lashley’s finisher by many fans within the internet wrestling community and decided to clear the air once and for all.

During recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Moose clarified about using the flipping spear, that WWE star Bobby Lashley has been using for a while. He mentioned that he has been doing the finisher since 2014 in Ring of Honor, long before Lashley even attempted the same.

“If you look at the footage of when I started doing the spear, the flipping spear … I started that … in Ring of Honor in what 2014 and by god it was a reckless spear … I didn’t make the spear up … everything is stolen in wrestling.”

Despite the accusations, he had massive praise and respect for the former WWE champion. Moose even recalled the time he came to TNA and was asked to change his finisher to Lashley, being their top guy at the time was doing it.

They (TNA) told me to meet him (Bobby) … our champion, top guy … he is doing the spear, can you think of something else … I was like oh yea easy, one of my favorite wrestlers at the time was Okada, that’s the Rainmaker, so I did a variation of his move which I still do sometimes.” (43:47-44:04)

Bobby Lashley made his WWE return in 2018, going on to win multiple titles and accolades, while Moose continues to be strong fixture for the newly rebranded TNA Wrestling. While they are in separate companies today, a forbidden door can give us an exhilarating bout between these two competitors in the future.

Who do you think does the spear better? Moose or Bobby Lashley? Sound off in the comments!
