Randy Orton made his return at Survivor Series back in November last year and in the months since then, firmly established himself as one of the top Superstars in WWE again. However, WWE spoiled his return beforehand and now Orton addressed WWE’s decision to announce his return instead of letting it be a surprise.

The Apex Predator was out of action for several months due to cumulative damage to his back, for which he needed back fusion surgery. There was a time when many felt he would end up retiring.

Thankfully, Randy Orton made his triumphant return at Survivor Series. However, WWE opted to announce his appearance at the Premium Live Event beforehand instead of keeping it a secret.

While speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Randy Orton addressed WWE spoiling his return after 18 months. Orton admitted that he was initially upset over the decision but got a great reaction in the end.

Kind of let the wind out of my sails. After it was all said and done, I got a great reaction. No one stepped on anyone’s toes. They got Randy Orton back.”

Two different reactions, two different people. On a personal level I was happy to have him back. [CM Punk]”

Randy Orton will be squaring off against AJ Styles, LA Knight and Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event on January 27th. We will have to wait and see who will come out on top in the match.
