Drew McIntyre‘s current heel character has developed into something fans are clearly getting behind as he always speaks with logic and goes after the big stars, including even CM Punk. McIntyre and CM Punk had a promo battle on RAW this past week and now McIntyre called out Punk’s hypocrisy in an unhinged rant.

The Scottish Warrior and CM Punk engaged in a war of words on this past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. It featured Punk claiming that Drew McIntyre isn’t known for his talking ability before threatening to punch his teeth down his throat.

The Scottish Warrior took to Twitter and uploaded a video ahead of the WWE live event in Las Cruses. McIntyre his disappointment with CM Punk’s absence at a live event, calling him out for not leading by example and being a hypocrite. McIntyre highlighted his extensive schedule and commitment to community work, contrasting it with Punk’s perceived focus on making money rather than building relationships.

McIntyre pointed out his evolution and success outside WWE, emphasizing his decision to return and finish what he started as a kid. He acknowledged Punk’s attention-grabbing impact but criticized his current work ethic, vowing to eliminate him in the Royal Rumble and declaring the return of the more serious and determined Drew McIntyre.

I’m in Las Cruses for tonight’s live event and guess who’s not here? The same person that claimed on Monday they would lead by example – CM Punk. Don’t be a hypocrite mate, leading by example would suggest you’re outworking everyone and we both that’s not true. I look at you and see the same old Punk. Very big name, very good at here to make money and not friends. That’s the truth and that’s okay – I checked my schedule these last few years. Very few can come close to the amount of live events, TV, media, community work, all that stuff and that sets an example. I do it simply cause I love it.

Maybe check my work outside of WWE, I evolved, grew business everywhere. It got to the point where WWE started investing in multiple places where I was champion and it was finally clear to me, ‘Guess it’s time to go back home and finish what I started as a kid.’

You? Insert big name into company and gets attention, lots of attenton and that’s okay. Just go about it, that’s your role. Back in the day you were a lot of negative things, so many things that will be talked about soon enough when it’s time. But you were a workhorse. Now? Not so much and that’s okay. You’ll serve your purpose and I will eliminate you from the Royal Rumble when both of us are in there together cause no one will stop me from finally having the moment I have earned.

Oh, and if you actually did some research, maybe you wouldn’t have said something as ignorant as I’m not known for my talking. When pushed, I can even overshadow the Best In The World. Smiling, cheesy Drew is dead – Drew f***** McIntyre is back.”

We will have to wait and see whether Drew McIntyre and CM Punk will be developing their feud in the coming weeks as we approach the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event on January 27th. After all, McIntyre’s promo has clearly made fans more invested in a long-term feud between the two.
