John Cena is shoo-in WWE Hall of Famer, and that is no secret. Now he is being honored by another organization that may come as a surprise for some.

The NCAA is honoring John Cena, along with five others, at their convention in January. They will receive the 2024 Silver Anniversary Award.

The Silver Anniversary Award honors people on the 25th anniversary of the conclusion of their careers in college sports. Nominations are taken seriously, as they are submitted by administrators at the awardees’ undergraduate institutions. The selection process is also overseen by a panel comprising former student-athletes and representatives from NCAA member schools and conferences.

The 2024 recipients include Nicole Aunapu Mann, Jerry Azumah, Shannon Boxx, John Cena, Misty May-Treanor, and Cindy Parlow Cone. The 2024 Silver Anniversary Award recepients will receive their awards on January 10th during the NCAA Convention Welcome and Awards Presentation in Phoenix.
