WWE doesn’t have Goldberg under an active contract, so he is free to do as he pleases. As 2024 approaches, we have to wonder what is in store for the former World Champion.

Goldberg said that he wants a retirement match in Israel, and although there were reports of that event going down, we haven’t heard any confirmation of the event. Goldberg may be able to wrestle again, but the big question is where he will go.

PW Insider was posed a very interesting question during a Q&A about Goldberg’s chances of debuting for AEW. It seems that there are no present plans, but Tony Khan has communicated with Goldberg in the past.

Nothing that I am aware of. Tony Khan noted in the past he’s spoken with Goldberg and he’s obviously on good terms with WWE, so you never know.  But, nothing on the horizon I am aware.

AEW has worked with Barry Bloom to secure some big contracts, including The Elite. It appears that would put them in a good relationship with Goldberg, because Bloom also represents the WWE Hall of Famer.

We will have to see if Goldberg ever makes his way to AEW. If only for a final match, you know Tony Khan would pay him a ton of money for that honor.

What’s your take on Goldberg and AEW? Should he stay away? Let us know what you think in the comments!
