Samoa Joe is a highly skilled and accomplished professional wrestler, who has competed all over the world over the past couple of decades. His physically imposing presence instantly made him a big deal in AEW. Being a veteran, fans wonder when he will eventually retire as well. Now Joe has revealed the timeline for his retirement from in-ring action.

The Samoan Submission Machine would end up vacating the ROH World TV Championship on the November 8th episode of AEW Dynamite, even though he had a record-breaking reign as the champion.

Samoa Joe has been competing at a very high level for a long time but was very injury-prone during his time in WWE due to concussions and other injuries. Naturally, fans remain worried for his well-being even now.

While speaking with Adrian Hernandez, the Samoan Submission Machine talked about how long he can still carry on being an active in-ring competitor. Joe made it clear that he could still go at it for the next few years.

Oh no, I’ll probably stop (wrestling) way before then (his body tells him to stop). I’ve been really, really fortunate. When I came off the concussion, I took two years off to really get everything back in order and in that time too, just in the recovery process, really changed a lot of my training and changed a lot of things around that have benefited me to a great amount health-wise and I feel good right now. As far as where the train will end, I’ll let it play out a little bit more but I will say this, I definitely have more than a handful of good years left in me and beyond that, I’m excited to… if we are gonna go out, we’re gonna go out with a bang so, it’ll be interesting to see how these next few years play out.”

The Samoan Submission Machine is set to square off against MJF for the AEW World Championship at the Worlds Event pay-per-view on December 30th. We will have to wait and see who will end up winning at the event.
