Chavo Guerrero is a known that most professional wrestling fans know, as he is the nephew of WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero and a solid in-ring competitor in his own right. Lately, he has been more focused on helping craft wrestling moves and shows and now Guerrero revealed he aspires to be a director.

Chavo Guerrero has become a prominent figure in the entertainment world for bringing authenticity to wrestling portrayals. He previously contributed to wrestling-based series such as GLOW and Young Rock and he was a huge part of ‘The Iron Claw’ as well.

In fact, Chavo Guerrero made the entire cast of ‘The Iron Claw’ wrestle authentic, full-length matches for the film. Obviously, this is a very big deal as the film strives to be the best wrestling movie of all time.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Chavo Guerrero revealed that he plans on becoming a director, which will be the next stage of his career, as he has been learning from all kinds of directors over the years.

The former WWE Superstar added that he is already working on a script for a film and will be collaborating with Dave Bautista’s production company Dogbone Entertainment – which is a big deal.

‘I am that guy behind the camera. Eventually, I’m gonna direct, that’s where I’m going. I follow directors all the time, at different movies and really kind of watch – it’s the same thing, study how they do it. That’s my next role – directing, that’s really where we’re going.

I’m writing a script right now and it’s not about The Guerreros but it’s pretty awesome. I don’t wanna give away too much. It kinda seems to do with wrestling, but it’s pretty good. In fact, Dave Bautista, his production company Dogbone Entertainment, we’re doing a collaboration. Hopefully, we’ll get this thing made.

We will have to wait and see whether Chavo Guerrero will eventually get his first movie as a director. After all, being a director is a whole different ballgame compared to what he has done so far.

What do you think of what Chavo Guerrero said? Do you think he can be a good director? Let us know in the comments!
