WWE has a lot of plans in the pipeline. With Survivor Series coming on November 25th, they only have a few weeks left before 2023 is over. It appears that they have plans to open up 2024 with a huge return storyline.

Fans tuning into WWE television for the next few weeks could be in for a surprise with the potential return of two former stars. WWE wants to close out 2023 with a bang, and they may do it by bringing back two incredibly talented Superstars.

Authors of Pain, consisting of Akam and Rezar, may soon make a return to television. Despite a strong stint in NXT, their journey on the main roster saw frequent starts and stops, leading to their release in 2020. With the rumor mill churning at full-force with their names, it seems there is a good reason for that.

It has been widely speculated that AOP have been under WWE contract since 2022. In mid-August, there were discussions about AOP and their former manager, Paul Ellering, making appearances, primarily for the NXT brand.

WrestleVotes recently revealed that the official event program for Survivor Series features two notable teams: Gallus from NXT and Akam & Rezar. This suggests that both teams are poised for a transition to the main roster in the near future.

I’m told the Survivor Series official event program features two notable teams. One being Gallus, as no other NXT group or superstar is included.

The other noteworthy team included in the program is Akam & Rezar, formally known as The Authors of Pain. Seems both could be headed to TV shortly.

One fan chimed in to seek some clarification on the matter. They posted as a reply on X to ask, “Just to be clear, you mean like the big program sold at every show with the roster in it, but with the Survivor Series cover?” Then, WrestleVotes simply responded with: “Correct.”

While AOP hasn’t competed since departing from WWE, they did attempt to launch their WES promotion with shows in Europe last year, but the project never gained momentum. They haven’t made any appearance for AEW, either. Now, we will have to wait and see how Triple H uses the former tag team champions, because he had a ton of fun booking them in NXT.

Akam and Rezar have a ton of potential, and the idea of Paul Ellering joining them once again is certainly exciting. The sky could be the limit for those two once they break into WWE once again.
