AEW has five hours of television that they must fill every week, and that doesn’t include ROH tapings. They need fans in each city, and Tony Khan’s company is using everyone they can to attract attention, even people who haven’t been on television in a while.

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa has been absent from AEW television for over a year now. Her absence began when she was forced to vacate the championship in August 2022 due to a back injury. Despite being cleared for a return, she has been waiting for creative direction.

There might be a hint of when we could see Rosa back on AEW television, or at least they are using her to promote an event. An advertisement for an upcoming Collision taping suggests a possible return date. AEW is scheduled to debut in San Antonio, Texas at the Frost Bank Center on Saturday, December 23rd.

This is significant as San Antonio is Thunder Rosa’s hometown, and the advertisement is centered around her, indicating her involvement in the event. Rosa was one of the initial faces associated with Collision, which launched in June, but she has yet to make an appearance on the show.

Nowhere in the advertisement did it say that Thunder Rosa will be on the December 23rd Collision, but she was featured on Dynamite several months ago, before the Saturday show even premiered. She was in line with Miro to see Tony Khan about the new show. Miro has returned to television as part of the Collision roster, but Thunder Rosa has not.

Thunder Rosa has been on the Spanish language commentary team for a while. She is also featured on Busted Open Radio. So, she’s not hard to find. That being said, it’s still good to see her in official AEW promotional material, and you can check out that latest video below.
