Eddie Kingston Wished Things Worked Out Differently with CM Punk

Eddie Kingston is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling, as he has competed all over the world in various companies. Kingston is a major star in AEW right now and he has quite a few people he doesn’t like – especially CM Punk.

Back in 2021, AEW built up the feud between Eddie Kingston and CM Punk. The feud further intensified after the scathing back and forth between CM Punk and Eddie Kingston on an episode of Rampage. It culminated in a bloody war between the two at AEW Full Gear, which saw CM Punk pick up the win in the end.

While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Kingston was asked if he felt bad about his promo on CM Punk back in 2021. Kingston admitted that he wished things worked out differently with CM Punk, but he still doesn’t like Punk.

“No. I’m doing my job. That’s how I felt. I didn’t know what anyone else in the locker room felt, I didn’t care. It was how I felt. I didn’t want him there. Me and Punk don’t like each other. That’s fine. You’re not going to like everyone you work with. Do I wish he was still in AEW and I wish it worked out differently? Yeah, because he helped the company. Other than that, I don’t give a f*** what he does. Me and him never got along anyway. We don’t have to be best friends to fight each other. It makes it better when we’re not best friends. I don’t wish him bad, but I don’t wish him good either, because I don’t give a f**** . That’s it.’‘

Eddie Kingston is currently busy as the ROH World Champion and is having the time of his life in the company. Kingston is okay with the fact that he and CM Punk will never like each other and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
