John Cena Reconnects With WWE Fan He Had a Rap Battle With 20 Years Ago

Before becoming one of the biggest Superstars in all of WWE, John Cena broke his teeth in the business after becoming the Doctor of Thuganomics – something that saved his career. He would regularly diss his opponents and fans alike with his insane flow game. He was part of NXT yesterday and surprisingly enough, Cena reunited with a fan he rep battled against 20 years again on NXT.

John Cena made his first NXT appearance in many years as he was present at Carmelo Hayes’ corner for the latter’s match against Bron Breakker. He even had a promo battle with Bron Breakker for good measure.

As pointed out by fans on Twitter, John Cena reunited with a fan he had a rap battle against 20 years ago in October 2003 before the No Mercy event. Naturally, Cena was elated to reunite with a fan with whom he shared such a special moment with.

John Cena also made an unusual cameo during commercial on AEW Dynamite last night. Regardless, this was certainly an unexpected moment for John Cena as well as the fan and it goes to show just how special the world of professional wrestling can be.
