Jon Moxley was taken out of action in the very early moments of his International Title loss at Grand Slam. That loss was not the plan, but it turns out that AEW also wasn’t considering another idea for WrestleDream.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that AEW never considered Josh Barnett or Tom Lawlor to face the former International Champion at WrestleDream.

“Contrary to rumors, Jon Moxley’s AEW WrestleDream opponent was not scheduled to be either Josh Barnett or Tom Lawlor.”

We will hopefully see Jon Moxley make a return to the ring very soon. If anything, he is certainly getting some time off, which is probably not what he wanted right now.
