Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that some SummerSlam matches ran long. It wasn’t noted which matches went over their scheduled time, but the rule of thumb was around 15 minutes per match.

The show went slightly over time. Most matches were roughly scheduled for 15 minutes. We’re told that a couple of matches went slightly over time, and some went way under time. We haven’t been told that any matches egregiously went past their planned time.

SummerSlam was just over 4 hours long, but it was still an eventful night. A lot of things needed to happen, and those Superstars did everything they cold to make sure their stories were told. Only time will tell where they go from here.

The press conference after SummerSlam seemed rushed, because that didn’t end until well after 1:00 AM. Obviously, most WWE pay-per-views don’t get a four-hour runtime, but SummerSlam is a special occasion.
