WWE is experiencing a boom in popularity, and that gives them a certain amount of power in every deal. They like making money and have figured out a great way to bank on holding events in places that require a lot of travel. Now, that could get in the way of the company booking evens that fans are calling for in a big way.

WWE just ran a mini tour of Mexico, and it was historic. The company broke records for a Mexican tour, and there is a call for those fans to get even more WWE action.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that several WWE Superstars pulled for Mexico to get a premium live event next. That being said, there is an issue with how much Mexico would pay for the show.

After the Mexico tour, several of the Mexican wrestlers pushed for a PLE show in Mexico. The issue is whether Mexico City’s government would pay to bring them in. They wouldn’t pay to bring a UFC PPV in this year as UFC wanted a big holiday show in Mexico this year.

WWE has brought premium live events to different countries and territories in recent memory. That being said, WWE doesn’t take their shows on the road for big events unless they are getting a bag in the process. This idea of paid shows must remain firm, or they might lose leverage over other locations that they are trying to get paid from.

Mexico certainly deserves a WWE pay-per-view, and they have the fan base to sell out any arena they can book. That being said, the idea of Mexico paying WWE for a pay-per-view event might not happen any time soon.
