Jon Moxley is fortunate that he gets to wrestle in NJPW and AEW at the same time. Although he had to cancel a lot of dates due to the pandemic, this didn’t stop him from loading up his schedule as soon as he could.

Jon Moxley has experienced significant success both in WWE and AEW, where he has been positioned as a top star since his arrival at Double or Nothing 2019. Of course, he is also a former US Champion in NJPW.

Recently, Jon Moxley participated in the NJPW Strong Independence Day events held at Korakuen Hall on July 4th and 5th. On the first night, he teamed up with Homicide to take on El Desperado and Jun Kasai. He then engaged in a thrilling Death Match against Desperado on the second night.

During an interview with Tokyo Sports, Moxley was asked about the possibility of facing IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA. Reflecting on his past achievements as a former WWE and AEW World Heavyweight Champion, Moxley expressed his desire to add the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship to his list of accolades.

“I’ve been WWE World Heavyweight Champion and AEW World Champion, but I’m not IWGP World Heavyweight Champion yet… If I were to fight SANADA, I’d have an image of myself as the IWGP World Champion, so I think it would be interesting.”

Jon Moxley’s words should be taken seriously. They also highlight an interesting fact, because no wrestler has ever held the world titles in all three promotions, WWE, AEW, and NJPW, simultaneously. If he were to accomplish this feat, he would become the first-ever wrestler to do so. Currently, Moxley and Kenny Omega are the only AEW wrestlers who have won two out of the three prestigious titles.

Jon Moxley is no stranger to accolades, and he might just break another record. Only time will tell what’s next for him, but his streak of violence isn’t likely to stop any time soon.

Jon Moxley has made a lot of noise in AEW, but will he ever go back to WWE? Sound off in the comments!
