Dutch Mantel Calls Out WWE Over Dominik Mysterio Ripping Off His ‘Dirty’ Nickname

Dominik Mysterio is in the middle of an incredible run with WWE, and now he is sporting a new nickname. We previously reported that he has a new nickname, but Dutch Mantel isn’t fan.

Dutch Mantel was known as “Dirty Dutch” for years, a name he made famous in many territories. He also took that moniker to more than one television show, but it appears Dom Dom is using that moniker now.

Apparently, WWE didn’t let Dutch Mantel know that there is a new Dirty Superstar. Dutch Mantel jumped on Twitter to let everyone know what he thinks about the whole situation.

WTF?? @WWE just blatantly ripped off my DIRTY name by now calling Dominick Mysterio, Dirty Dominick? That doesn’t even sound right. There’s only one DIRTYMAN and it’s Dirty Dutch Mantell. Thanks WWE for being so original.

Dutch Mantel was Dirty, far before Dominik was around, but that won’t stop WWE from using the name. At this point, Dirty Dom is being used as a way to reference him, so it wouldn’t shock anyone if a trademark and merchandise for that moniker is on the way.

Dutch Mantel is also seeing a bit of a resurgence in his career, thanks to his constant appearances on Dark Side of the Ring. Needless to say, few have forgotten about the former Zeb Colter.

Dominik Mysterio and the Judgment Day are still on a roll. It’s hard to deny how over the faction is as hated heels, but Dirty Dutch Mantel apparently has heat with the stable for a different reason.
