You never know when injuries can strike in pro wrestling. Even the most basic move can result in someone getting hurt, and Becky Lynch understands that all too well.

A notable incident took place at SummerSlam last year when Becky Lynch suffered a separated shoulder during her Raw Women’s Championship match against Bianca Belair. This was obviously not intentional, but it still cost Lynch a few months out of the ring.

During a conversation with Cosmopolitan UK, Becky Lynch reminisced about the injury she sustained after enduring the Glam Slam from Bianca Belair. This unfortunate incident resulted in Becky being sidelined for a period of four months.

“The worst move that went wrong in the ring was at my expense. It was a Glam Slam from Bianca Belair onto me last SummerSlam. I ended up separating my shoulder, and I was out for four months. So that would probably be the worst, which, touch wood, we’re doing well.”

Becky Lynch went on to discuss her journey of returning from the injury, emphasizing that it posed more of a mental challenge than a physical one. Thankfully, Becky Lynch was able to make that return to the ring happen, so she could continue her story.

“Coming back from an injury was more mental than physical because I hadn’t ever had an injury when I was in WWE that took me out for a substantial amount of time, and now I was out for four months.

“Especially when it initially happened, I had trouble picking up my daughter, and she didn’t understand what was going on. So it kind of messed with my head a little bit in terms of, ‘I don’t want to get hurt,’ and so for the first time ever in my career, I was scared of getting hurt, and I’d never had that before. So, trying to figure out how to overcome that was a bit of an adjustment.”

Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus are not over with each other yet. Those two Superstars are destined to collide again, probably at SummerSlam. Only time will tell how much longer Trish Stratus has during this run in WWE, but she will certainly tell quite a story with The Man.
