Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay are considered two of the best in the pro wrestling business. This is because they paved the way for many other stars to make a name for themselves outside WWE. The two finally faced off against each other for the second time at Wrestle Kingdom 17, where Omega was triumphant. That said, Will Ospreay returned the favor during the Forbidden Door pay-per-view last week. Now it appears Ospreay explained if he will have another rematch with Kenny Omega.

The Cleaner won the IWGP United States championship back in January, after defeating Will Ospreay in one of the greatest matches in NJPW history. Despite Kenny Omega winning the match, it was made clear that their feud wasn’t finished.

This culminated in a rematch at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view as Kenny Omega defended the IWGP United States Championship against Will Ospreay. It was truly an instant classic match in many ways and fans were at the edge of their seats throughout. In the end, Ospreay ended up beating Omega and became the new champion.

While speaking with Dark Puroresu Flow, Will Ospreay was asked about the possibility of a third match with Kenny Omega. Ospreay made it clear that a third match isn’t his focus right now.

“At the time I’d very much like if we put this to bed as it is tied 1-1 now. Now everything has kinda settled I’d almost like to direct my attention to new challenges & allow those 2 matches to just marinate for now.”

We will have to wait and see what will become of Will Ospreay now that he had reclaimed his throne as the IWGP United States Champion. It is very likely he will have a solid reign as the champion in the meantime.

What’s your view on what Will Ospreay said? Are you happy he defeated Kenny Omega? Let us know in the comments!
