AEW has made remarkable improvements since its debut back in 2019, especially when it comes to expanding its brand and working with other companies. One of the notable successes of AEW was the Forbidden Door event, which proved to the world AEW can make a solid event with NJPW. With Forbidden Door set to take place this Sunday, it appears a major NJPW star might make an appearance during the show.

The Scotiabank Centre in Toronto will host the second Forbidden Door event on June 25th and will be a great way for Tony Khan to showcase his partnership with NJPW. The event has more or less become a sellout and fans can’t wait for it.

The card is undoubtedly a stacked one and fans await with bated breath for it to take place. 11 matches have been announced for the Forbidden Door card and more could be announced.

One top NJPW star who isn’t on the card will be part of the meet & greet – that star is none other than Tetsuya Naito. There is a likely chance that Naito might just make an appearance at Forbidden Door as well.

The top matches featured on the Forbidden Door card include IWGP United States Champion Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay, Kazuchika Okada vs. Bryan Danielson and more. We’ll have to see whether Naito ends up appearing at the event, as Sting and Darby Allin still need a partner for their match.

What’s your view on this interesting revelation? Do you think Tetsuya Naito will be Sting and Darby Allin’s mystery partner? Sound off in the comments!
