Tony Khan has gained a lot of attention for his passion and dedication to professional wrestling. He has established himself as an authentic fan and enthusiast of the sport, and this genuine love for wrestling has connected with fans. Khan has been booking both AEW Dynamite and ROH and now it seems Khan made a claim about ROH.

The AEW President purchased Ring Of Honor last year and fans wondered what that would entail for the brand. In the year since then, Khan has produced a few pay-per-views under the ROH brand and started a weekly television series earlier this year.

Ring Of Honor did not end up on TNT or TBS as fans expected and instead streaming live on the HonorClub streaming service. Naturally, this came as a big surprise for fans as well.

While speaking with POST Wrestling and Wrestlenomic’s Brandon Thurston, Tony Khan talked about ROH being on TNT. Khan claimed that it was never a consideration on their part.

“I think the idea of two more hours of AEW was very appealing. What it meant was ‘AEW Dark’ and ‘AEW Dark: Elevation’ would be coming to an end, at least for now and they were great shows and they’ve been huge for the development of AEW.

I think in the future Ring of Honor is going to be very important for the development of AEW.”

Ring Of Honor is currently going strong as a weekly television program, but there are still a lot of improvements that they can make. Regardless, we’ll have to see what Tony Khan has planned for ROH in the coming weeks.
