Jade Cargill was immediately presented as a huge star upon her debut in AEW back in 2020. Eventually, she would go on to have a very impressive undefeated streak that caught the attention of many. She lost at Double Or Nothing and it appears AEW was criticized for ending her undefeated streak at the pay-per-view.

Jade Cargill had amassed an undefeated streak that was compared to WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg’s run in WCW. While fans initially didn’t buy into her hype, Cargill gradually won some people over.

Her dominance was especially apparent after winning the TBS Women’s Championship. That said, she ended up dropping the title to Kris Statlander at AEW Double or nothing. Naturally, fans were happy to see Cargill finally lose.

While speaking on Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru, Jim Cornette blasted AEW for ending Jade Cargill’s undefeated streak on pay-per-view instead of AEW Dynamite, where more people could have watched it.

“I wouldn’t have done it on f****** pay-per-view, I would have done it on television where everybody would see it. They sell 150 000 pay-per-views if they’re lucky, they get 850 000 people watching the show on Wednesday night, why wouldn’t you do that on TV?

Because it wasn’t advertised so it’s not false advertisement. Have [Jade] beat anybody, and then same thing, here comes Statlander. The whole world gets to see it, instead of these poor beleaguered pay-per-view fans.”

As previously reported, Jade Cargill is expected to take some time off and return with a character shift. We will have to wait and see whether Jade Cargill will immediately go after Kris Statlander after she returns.

What’s your take on what Jim Cornette said? Do you agree that Jade Cargill should have lost on AEW television instead of on a pay-per-view? Let us know in the comments!
