Seth Rollins is on roll right now, and he has a huge match at Night of Champions for the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. That match could see him make history, but the Visionary’s fans will certainly be singing his song in Jeddah.

During the October 17th, 2022, episode of RAW, Ali confronted then-United States Champion, Seth Rollins. This went down after Ali was promised a title opportunity by the previous champion, Bobby Lashley. The next few weeks saw the two competitors engage in intense brawls, and that captured the attention of the WWE Universe.

That being said, the rivalry between Seth Rollins and Mustafa Ali took an unexpected turn when Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory stepped up as the next challengers for the United States Championship. This development signaled a shift in the direction of the title picture, leading to the sudden end of for Rollins and Ali’s storyline.

While speaking to Metro, Mustafa Ali went into some of the reason he believes his program with Seth Rollins was dropped.

“I don’t think it was a knock. What I think happened was, I was this babyface that wasn’t fully developed, so you have to reintroduce me as this contender. Even though Seth was this bad guy champion, he was blurring the lines where the fans were really starting to sing his song, and they had to make a decision. Do we lean into this, or does he commit to being the bad guy?”

Mustafa Ali has a big match against GUNTHER at WWE Night of Champions, and the IC Title is on the line. While Ali is a massive underdog in that match, the Saudi Arabian fans will undoubtably be on his side during that contest.

We will have to see what WWE does with Mustafa Ali from this point on. He has a new gimmick that revolves around positivity, so he might just be able to use his secret to unlock some great opportunities in WWE.

What’s your take on Mustafa Ali’s booking in WWE? Do you think he has a big push in store for him? Sound off in the comments!
