Teddy Long was back on WWE television all week for the 2023 WWE Draft, and fans loved seeing him around. SmackDown needs a General Manager, and Teddy Long has filled that role well in the past.

The former SmackDown GM recently spoke to Inside The Ropes, where he went into a couple of things. One question that he addressed concerned a SmackDown comeback for a full-time General Manager role. It doesn’t seem like that’s going to happen.

Teddy Long is more than happy to make a return to WWE for the Draft, or “anything else” that they need of him. That being said, a GM role isn’t in the plan.

“I’m not coming back to be a GM. I’m coming back to be a part of the draft or whatever else they want me to do.”

Teddy Long went on to say, “I’m not there to try and be full-time anymore, I really don’t want that. I just want to enjoy the rest of my life.”

It seems that Teddy Long is enjoying his life as a retired WWE Hall of Famer. He has contributed a lot to the pro wrestling business, so only time will tell when he pops up next to entertain fans.

What’s your take on Teddy Long’s return to WWE? Do you like seeing him back in the mix? Sound off in the comments!
