Former NXT UK wrestler Eddie Dennis has returned to WWE, but not as an in-ring competitor. The Welshman was one of the many released when WWE shut down its NXT UK brand in August 2022.

Dennis announced his retirement from in-ring competition in March 2023 but is now back with WWE in a different capacity. According to WWE’s LinkedIn page, Dennis has been rehired as a writer/producer for NXT. The company posted a list of all the corporate hires made in Q1 of 2023, which included Dennis and his new role.

Dennis had a successful run in NXT UK, including feuds with Mark Andrews and Trent Seven. He was also part of the NXT UK commentary team before being moved to a backstage role.

Dennis’ last match was in the RevPro Revolution Rumble on March 26, which was won by Michael Oku. It remains to be seen what creative contributions Dennis will bring to NXT, but it’s exciting to see another experienced wrestler-turned-producer join the company’s team.
