AEW has a roster full of hungry talent, all ready to make a big mark in the pro wrestling business. Their wrestlers give it all in the ring, and sometimes that means they are injured in the process. Now, we have good news about Fenix’s recovery.

We previously reported that Fenix has not appeared on any AEW Dynamite tapings since Battle of the Belts IV on April 7th. Sources within the wrestling industry revealed that the luchador was nursing some injuries.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Rey Fenix is already back in the ring. He wrestled a show at his store in Pasadena, California, so he’s ready to mix it up in the ring again.

Rey Fenix started back tonight. So, he’d been out for a while. He wrestled Mike Bailey in Pasadena at their store. You know, Pentagon and Fenix have a store in Pasadena, California, and every few months they kinda do a show with big stars. Like, today they had Fenix wrestled Mike Bailey, Pentagon wrestled Jacob Fatu. Takeshita wrestled Aries, a couple of matches.

Yeah, he’s back and he’s going to wrestle in a battle royale on Dynamite I believe and, so yeah, and he’s doing AAW in Chicago as well, so he’s back.

We’ll have to see if Fenix can turn his return into a new title reign in AEW. He is coming off a hot streak of matches against The Elite, so it only makes sense that Tony Khan will want to use him in the greatest way possible.

Thankfully, Fenix’s injury wasn’t so bad that it kept him out of the ring for a long time. He is already back and ready to mix it up once again.

What’s your take on Fenix’s booking in AEW? Should he be a top singles star instead? Sound off in the comments!
