AEW’s first console video game isn’t here yet, but they’re making good headway. Now it appears that one big piece to the puzzle is ready for public viewing, but they’re just waiting for the green light.

THQ Nordic’s Global Senior Community Manager, Zyddies, provided an update on the upcoming game. He said that while it was in good condition, it isn’t yet ready for release just yet. That doesn’t mean that promotion material isn’t ready.

Despite the completion of all promotional material, sources from the promotional team indicated that they haven’t been informed about when they will receive the green light to start full promotion. It is now a waiting game for the team to start full promotion of the game.

Insider Gaming reported that sources working on the game have confirmed that it is ready from a development point of view. That being said, there will still be bug fixes and updates leading up to the launch. They will also release patches after the game is released. This suggests that while the game development is going well, the development team is leaving themselves loopholes to circle back and correct things later.

We will have to see how the new AEW video game lives up to expectations. Obviously, pro wrestling fans can be very harsh critics. AEW has also hyped this game for long enough, so let’s hope they deliver.

CM Punk was apparently removed from the cover image, and the game has been in development for quite some time. The game is also being produced by the same mind behind No Mercy, so there is a lot to live up to.
