AEW has a lot of plans for the future, and they already have several announcements in the pipeline to make. The company’s first console video game, the return of CM Punk, and their new Saturday show are all announcements that they can make. That Saturday show is coming, so an announcement is expected. Now we know what will happen to Rampage.

Although AEW Rampage’s viewership hasn’t improved at all over the last year, Tony Khan’s company is still producing that Friday show for TNT. It seems that they will not stop that, even with another show on the schedule.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that AEW’s current plan is to keep airing Rampage on Fridays.

What we have confirmed is that TNT will continue to air Rampage on Friday nights for one hour.

The current thought is that AEW will have a soft roster split for Wednesday and Saturday. CM Punk is the top name considered to head up that Saturday roster. Punk’s return has not been confirmed by AEW at this time.

It was noted that AEW will continue taping Rampage after Dynamite every week. So, the spoilers won’t stop for the company’s Friday show. Only time will tell if they end up switching around those plans.

What’s your take on AEW’s new Saturday show? Do we really need another pro wrestling show on television? Sound off in the comments!
