Drew McIntyre’s status with WWE is very interesting, especially since he has not agreed to new contract with the company yet. His sudden absence from television also rose a lot of suspicion within the fan base. That being said, we must clear up one story going around about McIntyre.

A story is going around this week that Drew McIntyre was originally scheduled to be at SmackDown, but he didn’t attend the taping. This got the rumor mill going at high speed for McIntyre.

According to PW Insider, Drew McIntyre did multiple local interviews over the past week to promote last night’s edition of WWE SmackDown in Lincoln, Nebraska. That reportedly suggested that Drew was scheduled at one point to take part in the show. The Pinnacle Bank Arena also had a promotional image for yesterday’s television taping with McIntyre on it.

Ringside News reached out to confirm the former WWE Champion’s status. We were told that Drew McIntyre was not scheduled to be at Smackdown this week.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Drew McIntyre was injured. He actually hurt himself on the road to WrestleMania, but he kept it up so he could have that big IC Title triple threat match against Sheamus and GUNTHER, two people the Scottish Warrior absolutely loves working with.

Drew McIntyre also confused fans when he blacked out his Twitter profile. He removed WWE references while taking off his profile photo and wallpaper, making them both black images. Obviously, this could have signified something, but we have no idea what he means right now.

Keep checking back with Ringside News as we continue monitoring this ongoing situation. Obviously, Drew McIntyre’s name is bound to make more headlines, and we can’t wait to bring you all the news you need.

What’s your take on Drew McIntyre’s WWE status? Do you miss not having him on television? Sound off in the comments!
