AEW saw Jeff Hardy return from his long hiatus this week. That was an exciting moment for fans, and they might be happy to know that the Charismatic Enigma will be around AEW for even longer.

Jeff Hardy has received a second chance from practically every company he’s ever worked for. Now that he’s back in AEW, a stern warning has already been given that he shouldn’t blow this opportunity.

During a recent episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardythe former WWE Superstar spoke about his brother’s situation with AEW. Since Jeff Hardy spent so much time off the road with AEW, Tony Khan decided to freeze his contract.

It’s still owned by AEW. Now that he’s back to work, I guess they’ll start paying him again. His contract was frozen for a while. It’s owned by AEW, hopefully he’ll make a few bucks out of this.”

This is not a new thing. Tony Khan also froze Jon Moxley’s AEW contract while he was in rehab few months ago.

We’ll have to see what’s next for Jeff Hardy in AEW. His return to the company could be a real shot in the arm if Tony Khan uses him properly. Now that we know Jeff Hardy’s contract was frozen while he was away from AEW, we know that he will stick around for even longer.

What’s your take on AEW freezing their talent’s contracts? Is this the best move? Sound off in the comments!
