Kevin Nash’s Suggests Roman Reigns Should Be Champion for Another 8 Years

Roman Reigns has established himself as one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. The Tribal Chief has dominated the competition since his return back in 2020. He shows no signs of stopping anytime soon, much to the dismay of many fans. That said, it seems Kevin Nash wants Roman Reigns to be a champion for 8 more years.

The Tribal Chief defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 39 Sunday. Fans really wanted Rhodes to defeat Roman Reigns but it was not to be as Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes. This decision led to a lot of outrage from fans, which was not really a surprise at all.

The Head Of The Table has already crossed 950 days as the Universal Champion and is well on his way to becoming a champion for 1000 days. Reigns will surpass that figure if he holds on to the WWE Universal Championship beyond May 27 2023, which seems very likely at this point in time.

While speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash defended WWE’s decision to have Roman Reigns defeat Cody Rhodes and continue to be champion. Nash then stated that he wants Roman Reigns to be the champion for 8 years and have a Bob Backlund-like reign.

“When you have 950 days behind somebody, you’ve got to get to a 1000 [days]. You have to! It’s like, if baseball was a work, you would make sure somebody surpasses Bonds’ 73 home runs. You’d book that.

So, do we do the Bob Backlund? Do we go seven-eight years? I don’t have a problem with it. I’m with you one hundred f****** percent.”

On the other hand, Kurt Angle thinks Roman Reigns’ title run has gone on for too long. We will have to wait and see whether WWE will have Reigns remain champion for the next 8 years.
