WWE Superstars give their all in the ring, and sometimes that calls for a little break. For one NXT Superstars, his break was far longer than others, but that is over. Now, Boa is back in the ring, breaking his incredibly long in-ring absence.

After a hiatus of over a year, Boa made his return to the ring for a televised match. The NXT Superstar appeared in a singles match on Friday’s episode of NXT Level Up. Of course, that match was filmed on Tuesday night prior to NXT’s live show.

Boa faced off against Dante Chen, but unfortunately came up short in the match. The contest was just around five minutes, but he made the most of his time in the ring.

NXT Level Up also featured other matches this week, including Dani Palmer & Sol Ruca’s victory over Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend, and Joe Gacy’s win over Oro Mensah with Ava, Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler in his corner. Boa’s return to the ring was the most newsworthy event of the hour-long broadcast.

This marked Boa’s first television match since he lost a Falls Count Anywhere match against Solo Sikoa in January 2022. The two were in a feud at the time, but that match ended things with Solo coming out on top. Nonetheless, Boa’s return to the ring on Friday night signaled that he is back and ready to take on new challengers.

We’ll have to see what’s next for Boa. He has a ton of potential, but he needs experience. Luckily, he is with NXT, and they will make sure that he is given all the proper tools to succeed in WWE.

What’s your take on this in-ring return on NXT Level Up? Did you miss Boa? Sound off in the comments!
