Pat McAfee previously stated that he would not be at WrestleMania in SoFi Stadium. That is why it was such a big surprise when he showed up anyway.

During his Pat McAfee Show, the former NFL punter explained that virtually nobody knew that he was going to be there. His good friend Michael Cole, who he really does have a close relationship with, didn’t even know about the big surprise.

“Michael Cole had no idea that I was there,” McAfee stated. He then went on to explain that while hiding in his tour bus, McAfee saw Michael Cole walk by. He almost blew his cover then and there, but McAfee remained strong and didn’t alert Cole.

It turns out that The Miz was smartened up to Pat McAfee’s appearance. That being said, The Miz was told about things almost when Pat McAfee’s music hit.

“Obviously, Miz did not know until Saturday. For [a] shoot. When my music hit is near when Miz found out.”

Pat McAfee could have been a full-time WWE Superstar if he didn’t go into the NFL. He has a ton of talent that can be utilized in various ways on, and off-camera. Hopefully, it won’t be a long wait until McAfee shows up in WWE again, no matter who owns the company.
