WWE was very happy about how WrestleMania turned out this time around. After all, they had a packed SoFi Stadium and broke records. The show moved smoothly, but you never know what can happen during a live event.

According to a note behind Fightful’s paywall, there were a couple of WrestleMania matches that didn’t quite hit the right time allotted for them. Those two matches were also championship battles.

Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair went a bit over their originally allotted internal time, but we’re told WWE officials were very happy with the match. John Cena vs. Austin Theory was way under time.

Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley should have been the main event match by all accounts. That SmackDown Women’s Title match was not given the main event, instead going to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens’ battle against the Usos. That being said, it seems that everything came out okay in the end.

We’ll have to see where WWE goes from this point on. Obviously, the company is going through a big transition as Endeavor has bought the company. This week’s episode of RAW could be a very interesting one to follow up on the showcase of the immortals.

What’s your take on this situation with WrestleMania? Are you surprised to hear about timing issues? Sound off in the comments!
