Tony Khan has a lot of plans for ROH, but he needs his talent to stick around. It seems that his plan for one stable might actually happen after Brian Cage will be seemingly sticking around.

Brian Cage was free agent and wrestling for Tony Khan without a contract in place. A lot of things can change in that amount of time, and ROH Supercard of Honor was a very interesting event.

The Embassy consists of Brian Cage, Prince Nana, Kaun, and Toa Liona. They were also able to retain their six-man tag team titles at ROH Supercard of Honor, which was a bit of a surprise.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that there were some creative plans in store for The Embassy in AEW. That being said, at the time of the report, Brian Cage’s deal with Tony Khan was unknown.

There was word backstage of some creative pitches for Brian Cage and The Embassy, though Cage has yet to re-sign with AEW.

We will have to see what happens in this situation. The Embassy retained their titles at ROH Supercard of Honor, so it stands to reason that they were able to work something out with Brian Cage.

At this time, we have not heard anything about Brian Cage’s contract status. The last we heard was that things were still in talks, and he was working without a deal. Only time will tell what Brian Cage does next, and now much television time he gets with Tony Khan this time around.

What’s your take on Brian Cage’s situation in AEW? Is he better off leaving the company? Sound off in the comments!
