WWE is building toward their future, and it seems that they are putting a lot of faith into Austin Theory. Although the start of his career has seen a few lows, he never stopped. Now he can look back and see everything he’s been through to get him to this point.

Austin Theory’s booking looking incredibly strong as he won the Money in the Bank contract. He was actually Vince McMahon’s final MITB winner, which is another notch in his belt. Austin Theory then worked a program with Vince McMahon himself through last year’s WrestleMania. Then Vince McMahon retired and Theory lost his Money in the Bank contract on a filed US Title cash-in.

Although Austin Theory failed to cash in his MITB contract, he did become United States Champion eventually. Now, he has an epic encounter ahead of him against John Cena.

While speaking to Fightful, Austin Theory was asked about his journey through WWE so far. He openly admitted that he is not sure that his WrestleMania match against John Cena would have even happened if things turned out different for him.

“Now where I’m at—and it’s funny I say now—but I don’t know if I’d change anything about what happened with it, just because it was the changing of the guard. It was literally making everything different and once that briefcase was off of me, it was almost like I was able to set everything around. But would we have been able to get that same impact if I didn’t have that Money in the Bank story? So I think it’s all important, and I think, to me, it always works out the best way it should. I think that’s what happened with it.”

Ringside News exclusively reported that Austin Theory had nothing to worry about after he lost Money in the Bank. In fact, we were told by a tenured member of the WWE creative team that Theory is better off today than he has been since Vince retired.”

It appears that Austin Theory’s trip to WrestleMania will be one he will never forget. With John Cena waiting for him at SoFi Stadium, it appears that his dream match will actually go down. It also appears that everything worked out for Austin Theory the best it could.

What’s your take on Austin Theory’s booking in WWE? Are they doing a great job with him? Sound off in the comments!
