Edge has been known by a couple different nicknames over the years, but being the Rated R Superstar was more of a mindset. This persona saw Edge reach new heights in WWE with that gimmick, and he can also see who is doing just that for today’s WWE roster.

While speaking to After The Bell, Edge brought up today’s generation and who is carrying his torch today. He also gave a huge nod to Seth Rollins for carrying on with the Rated R Superstar mindset for today’s WWE.

“I mean, I think Seth Rollins is a guy that we’ll never fully be through with each other. And I think part of the reason it’s because we’re so damn similar. We look at things in a very similar way. You know, he’s carved his own path, just don’t take this comment, and I’m sure they’ll clickbait it and run with it. But to me if I look at it, and if I make the comparisons to rosters of yesteryear, like he is the Rated-R Superstar of now, he is firmly his own thing, don’t get me wrong, he’s carved his own path.

Edge is set to take on Finn Balor at WrestleMania 39. Seth Rollins also has a match, but it is against Logan Paul at the show of shows.

We will have to see if Edge and Seth Rollins’ paths ever cross in the ring again. The Drip God certainly has Edge’s respect, because he is the one man that the Rated R Superstar would pick to carry on with his famous moniker.

Who do you think is the Rated R Superstar of today’s generation? Is it Seth Rollins, or someone else? Sound off in the comments!
