WWE has a lot of stories going, and one of the most captivating, by far, is the current angle with the Bloodline. Roman Reigns’ faction ran roughshod over the WWE roster for about two years, and then cracks started to show. Now, the Usos’ own father, Rikishi, is offering his assistance.

During the Road Trip After Hours podcast, Rikishi spoke about The Bloodline’s current WWE situation. He noted that things could use his help, and he offered to show up and “straighten” things out.

“I think they need to add Rikishi to that mix. Rikishi is the real father. They ain’t gotta make up nothing. This is a shoot. Anybody that can straighten up their kid would be their dad. So right now their kids are in turmoil, they just don’t know what they want to do. It’s a crisis out there. So right now, for Rikishi to step in with some law and order, I think that would be really good.”

Rikishi has a long history in WWE. He made his WWE debut in 1992 under the ring name The Sultan, when he was managed by Bob Backlund. That gimmick saw Rikishi wear a mask to conceal his identity. However, his run as The Sultan was short-lived, and he left the WWE in 1994.

Rikishi returned to the WWE in 1999 under the ring name Rikishi Phatu. He was a member of the popular tag team, Too Cool, alongside Scotty 2 Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay. The trio’s high-energy dance moves and catchy entrance music made them fan favorites.

In 2000, Rikishi gained notoriety for a storyline in which he ran over Stone Cold Steve Austin with a car. The storyline was a hit with fans and helped to establish Rikishi as a main event level performer. After all he “did it for The Rock.”

In 2004, Rikishi was released from his WWE contract due to budget cuts. He briefly wrestled on the independent circuit before retiring from in-ring competition in 2007. In 2015, Rikishi was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and his own sons, The Usos, were able to give his introduction speech.

The Bloodline is still going strong on the road to WrestleMania. Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn are also in their way, and there is a splintering of the faction. Roman Reigns said that if Jey Uso doesn’t come back, then he will blame Jimmy. Only time will tell what’s next, or who they might call to help them out.
