Pro wrestlers can find themselves branching out into many different areas of entrainment when their time in the ring is over. One former WWE developmental talent, who went on to appear for Impact Wrestling, has apparently found a niche in stunt work.

According to PW Insider, former WWE developmental and Impact Wrestling star Kevin Matthews is set to make his second appearance on Saturday Night Live tonight for their March 4th, 2023 episode. This is something that’s already in the can, so odds are the appearance will 100% happen.

Kevin Matthews will be featured in pre-taped material as a stunt double for Travis Kelce, the Superbowl-winning tight end of the San Francisco Chiefs, who will be hosting the show. SNL features pre-taped segments from time-to-time between live sketches. Apparently, Matthews will help out with that.

Kevin Matthews presently co-owns the WrestlePro promotion, and is a well-known figure in the world of professional wrestling, particularly in Alaska and New Jersey, where he regularly promotes events. In addition to his wrestling career, Matthews has also worked as a stunt performer in a variety of television shows, including CBS’ The Equalizer and Starz’ Heels.

Pro wrestlers are often multi-talented individuals, and Matthews’ success in both wrestling and stunt work is a testament to that fact. It will be exciting to see what the future holds for this versatile performer, but for now, fans are looking forward to seeing him on Saturday Night Live and cheering him on as he takes on this new challenge.
