Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler established themselves as one of the greatest tag teams in the last decade. Their time in professional wrestling has been nothing short of legendary. FTR also wanted to form a stable with Cody Rhodes in AEW but he ended up rejecting that idea.

During the latter part of his tenure with AEW before his WWE return, Cody Rhodes faced frequent booing from fans who were hoping to see him turn heel. However, despite these desires from the audience, Rhodes did not change his stance and remained a face character until his departure from the company.

Interestingly, Rhodes has since stated that he has no regrets about this decision and would not change anything about his character’s portrayal. Despite the mixed reaction from fans, Rhodes maintained his dedication to his character’s principles and stayed true to his beliefs until the very end of his run with AEW.

While speaking during the latest episode of his FTR podcast with Matt Koon, Dax Harwood revealed that the American Nightmare was interested in joining FTR to form a faction. However, Rhodes ended up rejecting that idea.

We did talk to Cody a lot about forming a group with him. This was before Max [MJF] came along. We talked to Cody a lot about it. He had Arn, we had Tully, we wanted to create a super group with Cody, us two [FTR], and we had some ideas of who could be the other members. Around that time, Brock (Anderson) was starting to come up, and we felt that if Brock were with us, he could stand outside of the ring and watch us, and if we had eight-man tags, he would be able to learn by standing on the apron, getting in for a few minutes and tagging out, and we could talk to him after and tell him why certain things happened.

I think Cody really wanted to as well, but I think he was vehemently against being a heel, at least at that time.

Dax Harwood revealed that FTR will be taking time off from television for few months. FTR is most definitely in a very interesting position at the moment. Ringside News will provide more details on FTR’s status with AEW when it is available.
