Chris Jericho has enjoyed a 30-year career in the pro wrestling business that is still going strong. Despite his accomplishments in multiple companies, Le Champion doesn’t consider himself one of the greatest of all time.

AEW currently has Chris Jericho involved in the Jericho Appreciation Society, a stable of heels that he can tutor along the way. Obviously, Tony Khan wants Jericho to influence as many stars that he can while he is around.

While speaking to Casey Pratt of the ABC affiliate in San Francisco, Chris Jericho was asked whether he considers himself a GOAT of pro wrestling. The Wizard had some wisdom of his own to share that he picked up years ago.

“Something that happened 20 years ago still resonates, which is cool. It was definitely one of many accolades that led me to where we are today with AEW, and that’s part of the longevity and the diversity of Chris Jericho’s career, for sure.”

Chris Jericho has showed no sign of slowing down in AEW. He also gave no doubt that he wants to stay with Tony Khan’s company, because WWE isn’t the place to be in his opinion.

We’ll have to see how Chris Jericho is remembered in the years to come. Fans today certainly regard him as one of the greatest, even if he won’t allow himself to accept the same distinction.
