Mia Yim had a lot of potential in WWE, especially seeing how she had a solid run in NXT. Unfortunately for her, that was all ruined after she was called up to the main roster. She was eventually released from WWE after the company had nothing for her following Retribution’s split. In fact, she was glad about her WWE release.

Following her WWE release, Mia Yim took time off for herself and got married to Keith Lee. She also competed in Impact Wrestling for a while after that.

While speaking on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Mia Yim talked about the life events that took place around the time she was released by WWE.

Mia Yim then admitted that she was glad about her relese from Vince McMahon’s company. This is because everything worked out in the end.

When we got released, we had about two months until our wedding,” Yim said. “We got married, we bought a house, we moved from Florida to Texas … I’m kind of happy the release happened when it did because then I get to fully focus on that because Keith immediately went to AEW. The timing-wise of everything really did work out because instead of being sad and depressed about the release, I just kept busy.”

We’ll have to see what’s next for Mia Yim. She was brought in as an answer to the OC’s Rhea Ripley problem, but AJ Styles’ injury seems to have changed a lot of those plans as well. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more.
