The NWA is still presenting weekly television programming, spearheaded by Billy Corgan’s direction. This week’s episode of Powerrr saw a rather surprising title change, and then they saw another one directly after that.

The NWA Women’s Tag Team titles changed hands twice on Tuesday’s episode of Powerrr. At the end of the night, Missa Kate & Madi Wrenkowski walked away with the titles.

The Renegade Twins, Charlette & Robyn, were fresh off winning the titles at Nuff Said. They defended their titles against Pretty Empowered’s Ella Envy & Roxy. This was a rematch of sorts, because the Renegades previously defeated Envy & Kenzie Paige at the pay-per-view.

During the finish of that first match, Roxy held Robyn’s tights, and she got the pin and won the titles. Then Missa Kate & Madi Wrenkowski came out and interrupted their title shot.

The challengers picked up a quick win, with Kate hitting the Kick Filet and Madi landing the Reality Check on Roxy to get the pin. This was certainly a surprising turn of event, but it also goes to show that you never know what can happen in pro wrestling.

Missa Kate & Madi Wrenkowski became the fifth set of champions since the titles were revived by the NWA in 2021. We’ll have to see how long they are able to hang onto their titles after this.
