WWE has a lot of things going on as they travel down the road to WrestleMania. Some legends could always appear to set up stories for the showcase of the immortals, but those plans can always change as well.

Trish Stratus is widely regarded as one of the most significant female WWE Superstars in the organization’s history. She is hailed as a pioneer by both fans and colleagues for her groundbreaking contributions to the evolution of the women’s division in WWE. She was supposed to return recently, but that didn’t happen.

Trish Stratus was seen as a sex symbol during the Attitude Era and this didn’t always go well for her. This included the infamous dog barking segment with Vince McMahon, which she did not mind as much either.

WWE Hall Of Famer Lita made her return during a previous episode of Monday Night RAW, assisting Becky Lynch in defeating Bayley. Reports stated that Stratus would return the following week and set up a match at Elimination Chamber featuring Damage CTRL.

However, Stratus didn’t appear on the show. According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that WWE is planning to revisit scrapped plans for her return before WrestleMania 39.

“Trish Stratus was at one point scheduled for Raw on 2/13 at the Barclays Center, but it was canceled. The reports were it was due to Kai’s injury.

On paper it sounds like they were trying to build Lynch & Lita & Stratus vs. Damage Ctrl. We were told that the Stratus angle isn’t dead and that the match wasn’t scheduled for Elimination Chamber.

Kai & Sky defending the women’s tag titles against Rousey & Baszler is still on for Mania. Whether that means Damage Ctrl would work twice over Mania or something completely different isn’t known at this point, only that there was a planned angle for this past week to bring Stratus back that was canceled and is still expected to be revisited at some point.”

It is not known whether Trish Stratus will make an appearance at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in some capacity. Odds are, she just might appear to set up an angle for WrestleMania 39.
