WWE is always looking to hire more talent who will help with the company’s overall growth, which is why they hold tryouts from time to time to determine who would fit the mould in WWE. Former NJPW star Karl Fredericks is now one of them, as he is set to make his NXT debut soon.

WWE announced on Thursday that Karl Fredericks will be making his in-ring debut on NXT Level Up. Going by the name Eddie Thorpe, he will be having his first match against Dante Chen.

Other matches include Ivy Nile taking on Valentina Feroz in singles competition. Xyon Quinn will also square off against Oba Femi. Check out the official card for NXT Level Up Below!

Fredericks began wrestling in 2015 but started with NJPW as a Young Lion at the LA Dojo in 2018, and graduated in 2020. He won the Young Lion Cup in 2019. He made headlines back in the summer when his NJPW contract expired on August 1 last year. We’ll have to see how his in-ring debut goes.
