The Street Profits have been together since NXT, and the team is still going with a lot of momentum. A recent development in the team’s story could tease an eventual split for the two.

Montez Ford secured a spot in the Elimination Chamber match for the US Title. Some fans thought it was very interesting that Angelo Dawkins didn’t make the big match, but they’e already had a conversation about this.

While speaking on the Bleav in Pro Wrestling podcast, Montez Ford revealed what he’d told his tag partner. Apparently, if Tez wins the big match, he already promised Angelo Dawkins as his first challenger.

“This week when I was talking to him, I told him, I said, ‘Look, man, going ham in the Chamber, and I’m gonna go so ham to the point I have that much utmost confidence in ability in myself that I will walk out as champion.’

“I said, ‘It’s always about us.’ So, I said, ‘Since it’s always about us when I win the Elimination Chamber, you’ll be the first person [to get a title shot].’”

We’ll have to see how everything turns out when Elimination Chamber comes around. It is interesting that only one member of the Street Profits found their way into the match. If anything, it certainly gives fans a clue as to whom the company has more faith in at this point.
