John Cena is widely considered to be one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time. The former multi-time world champion was the face of the company before Roman Reigns took on the mantle. Cena is still one of WWE’s biggest attractions despite him no longer being fully committed to the company. That said, Cena’s next rumored opponent could be a real test for him.

Kurt Angle shared his thoughts on John Cena potentially squaring off against Austin Theory at the upcoming WrestleMania 39 premium live event during the latest edition of The Kurt Angle Show. The WWE Hall of Famer sees the potential match-up as a huge competition for both Cena and Theory.

“I know John Cena is trying to get back at it, and Austin Theory would be a great match for him. He’d be great, great competition. He’d be a great, great test for John Cena, considering he’s an in-ring general.”

John Cena is locked in for match at WrestleMania 39 although WWE has yet to make an official announcement in this regard. The two superstars filmed a backstage angle the last time Cena was in WWE, but the footage is yet to be aired. Vince McMahon gave his blessings to John Cena after the boss relinquished his title as the head booker.
